This month we are partner of a very special competition: The Royal Barrique

The Royal Barrique, what is it?
It's a surfing competition that is totally different from other competitions and only involves Tubes! 🏄♀️

What is the waiting period?
Between the 1st and the 31st of October, the Royal Barrique jury checks the conditions to choose THE best day of surfing, this is what we call the "Waiting Period"!

So the date and the place are chosen according to the surfing conditions.
The 50 selected surfers, partners and the public will be alerted by email a few days before a potential day and if it's good, 30 min before the competition there will be a sms sent with the confirmation so leave your cell phones on if you participate because the competition lasts only 3 hours! 🙃

What are the rules?
The rules are simple: All surfers are in the water at the same time. The rules of priority are the same as in free surfing: the surfer who is the most inside the wave has priority and we reward the most beautiful tube surfer as well as the most beautiful Wipe Out. 

Before the award ceremony, the name of the winner is unknown. The 5 most beautiful hits are then presented and the jury reveals the name of the winner who can hold up the Royal Barrique trophy. 🏆
